Green Tea – How Anti-ageing Is It?

Ginvera: Green Tea Skincare Range
Do you drink green tea? I have tried so many times to enjoy a cuppa, but I can’t get my taste buds around the flavour. That goes for herbal varieties too. I love tea. I drink loads of it. But it has to be black, caffeinated and given a choice, Assam.

Aromatherapy Associates Oils – Do You Have A Favourite?

Small and mighty is how I describe my Aromatherapy Associates Bath and Shower Oil collection. These miniature bottles may stand just 45mm tall but, boy, do they pack some power inside them. Add a few drops to a running bath and suddenly it’s not only your bathroom that’s infused with the most wondrous aroma but the rest of your home too. These oil blends really can travel.

My Celebrity Su-Man Facial At The Anti-Ageing Show

I’m pretty sure I’ll never get the opportunity to walk the red carpet at some Hollywood blockbuster movie  premiere. But who needs that when I can get the film star treatment at the Anti-Ageing Health & Beauty Show  in London.

Talking Skincare With Shiffa Founder Dr Lamees Hamdan

Dr Lamees Hamdan: natural organic skincare is best
One of the joys of beauty blogging is discovering new brands and writing about them. Since launching Face Up Beauty, I have got to know some truly beautiful products that previously had fallen under my radar, perhaps because they are not sold on the high street, or owned by multinational corporations with a penchant for supporting their launches with big budget, high profile ad campaigns.

Rediscovering Curls – With BaByliss and John Frieda

Babyliss has rebooted a fondness for curling my hair. I’ve always loved curly, but found the effort necessary to get my locks suitably coiled really not worth it. My freshly tonged or crimped wavy hair would look fab, but one sleep later and I’d be left with a head full of lifeless limpness.

Then along came BaByliss Pro Perfect Curl. Now, with this nifty gadget, which I bought last summer, I can create precision curls that last me from one hair wash to the next (that’s around 4 days!)

Sadly, the same enthusiasm cannot be applied to styling products. If money were no object, I’d stock my shelves with nothing but Living Proof (or perhaps my new crush R+Co).  But I cannot justify spending £20 on a shampoo and even more on a styling cream for week-in week-out hair.

So, I’m constantly on a mission to find good value alternatives (especially with my frizz prone hair). I was recently given samples of some new John Frieda ‘Frizz Ease’ styling products to try, plus a BaByliss Boutique hairdryer. Let’s get curling…

Needle Is The Best Tool For Reducing Wrinkles, Says Mingaile Of Min’s Beauty Equipment

Face Up Beauty: I am a beauty device geek. I have so many gadgets at home – a ReAura laser, a Sqoom ultrasound, a Clarisonic brush, an Opal sonic infuser, a LightStim LED light treatment… you get the picture. But one device I don’t have, and have never tried, is a derma roller, a cylindrical shaped drum studded with very fine needles. Mingaile from Min’s Beauty Equipment knows a thing or two about needles and here below she talks about the benefits of this very popular anti-ageing treatment.

  *GUEST POST*

The day comes when we wake up in the morning and see that our skin doesn’t look anywhere near as nice as it did 10 years ago. The first thing we do is start to panic. Next we rush to our computers and deploy our good friend Google to help us out. We start searching and researching in an attempt to find a treatment that will stop or maybe even reverse the damage done to our skin by simply getting older.
