Back to School!

Where did Summer go? I can’t believe it has been more than a month since my last blog post. It only seems a moment ago that I was waxing lyrical on my two favourite tan fakers (post here). Today is Friday 5th September and thoughts are turning to Autumn, no longer Summer.

To be honest I was worried about taking such a long blogging break. I wondered whether readers would return when I started posting again or perhaps not bother, having got fed up at the lack of new posts.

I don’t know the answer to that yet but one thing I do know is that I have emerged from my Summer sabbatical with a much healthier and relaxed attitude towards my blog. That’s got to be good, right?

I’m looking forward to getting stuck in again to discovering new beauty products and writing reviews. Shortly I’ll be posting a review of Synergie, a brand new potent skincare range formulated to deliver turbo-charged skin rejuvenation. I’ll also shortly be doing a write-up on my favourite magazine beauty freebie this month. Roll on Autumn I say (well, sort of!).

Just in case it’s of any interest, I spent most of my summer sabbatical (as I do every year) in Denia, a most beautiful town in the Costa Blanca region of Spain. Here’s a couple of holiday snaps:

What did you get up to this August? Did you go away or did you stay at home? What were your highlights of Summer 2014?  I’d love to hear!

  1. I also took a break from blogging in August as work was so busy because of peak annual leave! It's great you got to spend some time abroad with your family.

  2. Happy to have you back- I know exactly what you mean- I only did not post for one week and my statistics dropped dramatically and I still suffer! I think I will never do a break again- lmao. Lovely photo of you and your kids and your son just looks exactly like you!!! Kisses, Sissi www.beauty4free2u.com

  3. I've never actually been to Denia, though I've heard of it! (I'm Spanish.) Glad you had a great time! I mostly stayed at home/Starbucks myself, but home is a bit misleading since I moved to London in April and I'm busting my ass off trying to become financially solvent and catch up on all my freelance work.

  4. We went to the US. It was fab but it's not a cheap holiday. It looks like you had a great time, wish I looked as good as you in a bikini :)

  6. Time flies so quickly! It is insane how this summer just breezed on by. I feel like every year it gets faster.

  7. Lovely sabbatical pics! A few years ago, I made the decision to be more relaxed in how I was blogging as well (I used to blog 7 days a week; now three times a week). It was a good move for me. Glad you have returned, and have found renewed energy to pursue your blogging passion. :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
