There’s something I really like about the brand name Nourish. Nourishment is precisely what my skin craves right now, so perhaps therein lies the answer!
Argan Skin Renew is a rich moisturiser for dry and stressed skin. Winter isn’t even here yet but the weather has certainly turned colder, our central heating is now on auto pilot, and my skin is starting to feel dry. Oh dear, it’s that time of year again!
Sourced from Morocco. It is an excellent source of vitamin E, antioxidants and essential fatty acids.
Rose of Jericho
Known as the ‘resurrection plant’. It has the ability to withstand almost complete dehydration for decades! Applied topically it is said to help boost hydration levels and support our skin’s own natural protein structure to give a more youthful complexion.
A natural and gentle astringent. It acts as a balancer to reduce excess dryness or oiliness. It can help improve skin tone.
Argan skin Renew comes in a screw cap glass jar. The first thing that struck me about it, after taking the lid off, was how similar it looks to clotted cream. It’s got the same milky colour and glossy texture as the crème de la crème of creams!
This truly is an incredibly rich moisturiser. You need apply just a tiny amount. The oil content is at the fore and it is what makes this work so well for my dehydrated skin. It requires very little work to massage in and, oh boy, my skin feels instantly softer after application. Oil locks moisture in, so the softening effect is long lasting.
The aroma smells subtle in the jar but becomes more obvious as you massage the cream in to your skin. I’m very fond of the pine, dry woody fragrance of frankincense - so perfect for this time of year of course!
Nourish Argan Skin Renew is a beautiful formulation, ideal for dry and more mature skin. Those with oily complexions may want to test patch first, though the label says it is suitable for all skin types. It’s good value at £25 for 50ml. You can buy it here .
