Fushi Organic Hydrating Lip Balm – a Tasty Taster of What’s New at Naturisimo

A clutch of new brands has arrived at natural and organic beauty online retailer, Naturisimo. One of them is the wellbeing, beauty and fitness range Fushi.

Fushi is perhaps best known for its organic, cold pressed and unrefined oils (cold pressing is an ethical way of extracting oil from nuts). But if this lip balm is anything to go by, it also does a fine line in skincare too.

The range is pretty extensive (I counted *nerd alert*  86 products on the Naturisimo website alone). This 100% Organic Hydrating Lip Balm is one of two Fushi lip balms available and is described as a cooling, refreshing and Ayurvedic formula packed with oils to protect, hydrate and nourish the lips.

Ayurveda is a type of traditional medicine native to the Indian subcontinent which has been practiced there for 5,000 years, making it one of the oldest holistic healing systems.

It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. The primary focus of Ayurvedic medicine is to promote good health, rather than fight disease.

Well, I’m certainly getting some ‘good karma’ right now, as I take in the scent of this lip balm. It smells gorgeous, a subtle peppermint with a light floral touch of geranium. It’s uplifting and calming in equal measure.

Key ingredients:

Avocado oil to moisturise
Peppermint and geranium to heal and soothe

The texture of this balm is soft, light and non-sticky. It’s instantly nourishing, and what I particularly like about it is the tingling sensation you get the moment you smear it on. That’s down to the peppermint and it feels very cooling and refreshing.  I can see this balm being a total godsend in Summer, when it’s really hot and dry.

Naturisimo is currently giving away a free full size (10g) pot of this lip balm (worth £5), with any Fushi purchase. Enter FUSHI at checkout.

Other products in the range include body ointments and oils, shampoos and conditioners, a heap of essential oils, as well as herbal remedies and supplements. You can find everything Naturisimo is stocking here, priced between £5 for the lip balms and £85 for Fushi Rose Otto Organic Essential Oil (5ml).

Meanwhile two other natural brands have just joined the Naturisimo roster. First up Skin & Tonic. I love the story behind this organic skincare brand – the founders met over a glass of, you’ve guessed it, gin & tonic!

Then there’s Aduna, suppliers of nutritional supplements. Expect more well-being brands at Naturisimo over coming months – it’s a growing focus for the retailer!

  1. I've never heard of this brand, which is terrible as it has 85 products, but I love the sound of this lip balm, and it is a good price too.

  7. This stuff sounds amazing! The only thing I do not like is the jar packaging as I am always super afraid of germs and stuff. Please Fushi: can you do this in a stick form? ;-) Kisses darling, Sissi www.beauty4free2u.com

    1. Ooh Sissi do you not like balm in pots? The hygiene is not something I'd really thought about but there's something quite satisfying about dipping your finger in a soft balm and smearing over your lips! 😉
