April’s Fave Freebie – Eyeko Fat Eye Stick

On the newsagent racks this month, it’s InStyle that has me raiding the piggy bank for the best cover-mounted beauty freebie. It is offering a choice of four Eyeko make-up products with its May edition, including this Fat Eye Stick I selected here.

If you don’t fancy the eye stick, though, these are the other three Eyeko items to choose from: eyelash curlers (they’re pretty good - the last You Beauty advent calendar I bought featured a set); a skinny liquid liner; and eye make-up remover wipes.

The products have a total value of £41. So, pick up all four and you could save yourself £25.04 on the combined RRP! InStyle carries a £3.99 cover price.

Eyeko Fat Eye Stick in Smoke is a beautiful shimmery dark silver shadow. The colour is intense and the texture soft and creamy, making it a dream of a product to both apply and blend. I smudged it for a smoky look, which it delivers with a striking glossy finish.

I love shimmery shadows. They reflect the light and so help to open up the eyes. I think them incredibly flattering, no matter what your age. I don’t hold with the view that once you head over 30 it’s time to retire the glittery, shimmery eye look!

This really is a fabulous freebie. A decent size too at 4g. Plus there’s a 20% off any Eyeko product promotion running (until 30th April) with InStyle, though I'll give you the code in case you can't get a copy! Enter INSTYLE20 at the checkout!

    1. I have to agree with you on the rising cost of magazines. You really do have to factor that in when shopping for these freebies. Tx

    1. Sadly felt tip liners don't really work for me as I have a slightly hooded left lid, which means the liner often bleeds on to my upper lid. But I'm very impressed with this shadow stick. Tx

    1. Oh no! You are in Holland, yes? I'm not sure if the freebies thing is unique to the UK but I hear from fellow US bloggers that mags across the pond don't go in for freebies either. I'd be interested to know if other countries apart from ours do it. Tx

  8. I've not tried the fat eye sticks, yet; but, I'd like to. I have tried the chubby lipsticks and I adore those! Clinique has one I really like. :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
