Bagsy – The New Make-Up and Beauty Brand Created With Our Handbags In Mind!
Roll-up girls! Life just got a whole lot simpler. A new make-up brand has launched aiming to cut all the clutter from our handbags!
The brand is called Bagsy and earlier this week it unveiled its debut collection, an edit of 23 make-up and beauty products it calls ‘handbag essentials’.
If you’re an ‘everything but the kitchen sink’ type of girl who likes to pile just about everything from your main make-up stash into your handbag before heading out (just in case you might need it - but never do!), then the Bagsy range is aimed precisely at you.
We don’t need to carry around all that clutter. There are, apparently, certain beauty items that we find essential. Bagsy (as in ‘handbag’ and ‘I bagsy that’) conducted research and focus groups to find this out, as well as to discover what packaging design would make our lives easier.
It further drew on its vast experience creating make-up for other brands – yep, the people behind Bagsy develop cosmetics for many of the big names we’re all familiar with (they can’t say who due to commercial confidentiality).
The result is a debut capsule collection that has been two years in the making. There’s make-up (for face, eyes, lips and cheeks), a dry shampoo and a hand cream. The packaging is exquisite. It’s colourful, bright and playful, yet retains an elegance that will appeal to women of all ages. You’ll find quirky quotes inside too, like ‘blushing is the most powerful charm you own'. How true is that?!
The hand cream and dry shampoo both have delightful fresh fragrances. The make-up delivers pops of colour that are blendable and buildable, and also very easy to use - you can even apply the blush directly to cheeks without the aid of a mirror or brush. The whole collection has been designed to stow away easily inside your handbag.
I had a play around with the products at the bloggers launch event in London. The formulas are indeed very blendable and buildable, while the textures feel silky smooth on the skin.
I will be posting full reviews shortly but I was so enamoured with the line-up that I wanted to get this news post up ahead. Before wrapping up, I want to highlight one particular hero, Wonder Wand. This is a ‘split-lead’ pencil – on one side there is a highlighter, and on the other a concealer. Now how clever is that?!
The debut Bagsy collection will be available from next Monday (15th June) exclusively at Feelunique.com for three months, before becoming more widely available. Prices range between £6 (Heavenly Hands hand cream) and £18 (the Wonder Wand pencil and Ray of Sunshine bronzer each). PS: You’ll be able to pick up the bronzer for £12 as part of an introductory special offer.
You can follow Bagsy on Twitter here, and visit the Feelunique website here.

It is such a great brand and I am quite excited to see what comes next from them x
ReplyDeleteTotallly agree with you. I've started experimenting with the products now. The formulas are so pigmented, yet soft and blendable. I'll be very happy to whip these out of my handbag and show everyone! Tx
DeleteThis seem like a pretty good idea. I am that girl who carries everything and the kitchen sink.

I know, such a clever idea. Tx
DeleteI looooved it, so beautiful and practical! That highlighter and concealer are just amazing! I would love to know the products! Actually, when I go out I carry lip balm only, not even a gloss. But with the right products, who knows? I would be tempted to carry all these beauties with me! So nice to get to know the brand, the name is also clever!

I've been testing the lip balm over the weekend. It's utterly gorgeous. It actually gives quite a hit of colour, so you could use it in place of a lipstick (saving on that all-important handbag space again!). Tx
DeleteWhat a great concept! I adore the packaging! And, yes, I am guilty of carrying around way more cosmetics than I need to in my bag (me and most every other woman)! :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you Tina. Tx
DeleteWow, these look all beautiful Tracey and I think the idea is just genius. I always try to keep the stuff in my bag to a minimum and I am actually pretty good in traveling light lol. I need to check if this brand will be available here in the US. Wish you a wonderful day my dear! xoxo, Sissi www.beauty4free2u.com
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if they're going to launch in the US. I'll ask the PR and get back to you. Speak soon Sissi! Tx
DeleteOh wow, I've never heard about this brand but it sounds great! Love the look of the Wonderwand! xo

The Wonder Wand is brilliant. Use the conceal on the under eye area, then simply flip the wand to highlight the cheekbones. Easy peasy :)
DeleteThe packaging is beautiful, reminds me of an afternoon tea at your aunt, with roses in vases, on curtains, and cushions. I am involved in makeup and skincare distribution, and it's amazing really there are so many brands to choose from, and still some new (new to me, too;) being launched successfully.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. It has that glorious English afternoon tea feel about it! Tx
DeleteThat looks lovely! Love the package design! I will keep my eye on it!ps. I gave lovely giveaway on blog!
