NEW: Balance Me Instant Lift Pore Minimiser – Another Multi-tasker

Hot on the heels of its tinted eye cream/primer, Balance Me has launched a second skin prepping and complexion boosting formula.

Instant Lift Pore Minimiser is a primer-come-line-smoother, made with a blend of botanical oils (rosehip, frankincense and bergamot) that’ll be familiar to those who have grown to love Balance Me’s natural formulations (yes, I’m one).

You pat a little directly onto areas of concern (i.e. enlarged pores and fine lines) after moisturiser and before makeup. For ease of application, though, I prefer to dab and blend all over my face and use it as my main primer - I have enlarged pores on my forehead, chin and nose, and some fine lines around my eyes, so it’s fair to say that covers quite a part of my face!

Other key ingredients and what they are said to do:

Acacia gum – refines and lifts skin
Acmella oleracea – relaxes muscle contractions
Hyaluronic acid – plumps and hydrates

This primer glides on the skin and blurs open pores really well. It sits happily on top of various different moisturisers I tried it with and provides a smooth surface for applying foundation. Lines areless noticeable.

The one thing I’m not getting here, though, is lift. I’ve yet to find any cream that delivers noticeable lift - I just don’t think it’s possible from a topical, though perhaps one day I will find myself eating those words (bring it on!).

All-in-all, this latest Balance Me product is another winner – I just emit a tiny wince at the ‘lift’ bit.

Balance Me Instant Lift Pore Minimiser costs £22 for 15ml. You can buy it here. My review of
Balance Me’s Tinted Wonder Eye Cream is here.

  1. I've actually got the primer but haven't tried it yet. After reading this I will though (my poor Laura Mercier stash). Xx

    1. Ooh let me know what you think. Always interesting to compare notes. Tx

  2. Ooh i like the look of this and it certainly blurs but as you said the lift is something im yet to see in a cream too x

    1. Yes lift, a tricky one. But this pore minimiser is lovely notheless. Tx

  3. Oh I could need a giant tube of this one. Those stupid pores seem to get bigger by the day- especially on my cheeks- yack! Even my husband noticed! You are so right, a lift in a tube is not invented yet I guess. Too bad for us oldies. LOL! Kisses and hugs to you my English darling! xoxo, Sissi

    1. Thanks Sissi, and yes, I'm still waiting for that miracle cream ;) Tx
